The scheme’s funds comprised the contribution from the Government of Kerala, contributions collected from members of the scheme, interest from Bank deposits, etc., which is being utilized to pay various benefits to members of the scheme and administrative expenditures. The corpus fund would be deposited as a short-term fixed deposit. The fund is mainly utilized to disburse multi-faceted benefits like Retirement benefits, Maternity Benefits, Marriage benefits, Medical Assistance, scholarships to workers’ children, Death benefits, etc., to the members.
Retirement Benefit
The members who retire after completing 60 years of age and having at least one year of service in the scheme are eligible for a retirement benefit.

Pension
- Old age Pension:- the member who retires from the scheme after completing the age of 60 years is entitled to get a monthly pension at the rate fixed by the government from time to time. (Currently Rs. 1600/- per month).
- Family Pension:- In the event of the death of a member after completing ten years of service in the scheme, the member’s family will be entitled to get the family pension
- Disability Pension:- A member having five-year services in the scheme, and if the permanent disability is above 50%, he is eligible for a disability pension.

Marriage Assistance
- Marriage Benefit:- A marriage benefit of Rs. 10,000/- is given to the member for the marriage of their two daughters and the women members of the scheme, having at least one year of continuous service in the Scheme.
- Loan for marriage:- Members who have remitted the subscriptions for more than ten years are eligible for a loan for conducting the marriage of their daughters. An amount equivalent to 75% of the 50% of the total amount remitted as a subscription, as an interest-free loan, which would be repaid within three years, is given as a loan.

Maternity Benefits
A woman member with at least one year of service and a live member in the scheme will get maternity assistance up to Rs.15000/- of this, Rs.13000/- is a government contribution, and Rs.2000/- is met by this Board.

Death Assistance
In the event of the death of a member by accident or due to any disease, the nominee is entitled to get the retirement benefit, in addition to Rs.1000/-for funeral expenses. In addition, benefits, as envisaged in Aam Admi Bhima Yojana, are extended to the legal heirs.
Medical Benefits
Scheme members and their family members are entitled to get treatment assistance by the terms and conditions of the Chis/Chis+ Scheme.

Educational Benefits
The children of the scheme members are being awarded scholarships ranging from Rs. 1000/- to Rs. 3000/- per annum during the study period as envisaged in the scheme.

Loan
- Loan for marriage:- members who have remitted the subscriptions for more than ten years are eligible for a loan for conducting the marriage of their daughters. An amount equivalent to 75% of the 50% of the total amount remitted as a subscription, as an interest-free loan which would be repaid within three years, is given as a loan.
- Loan for Maintenance of Residential Building: – members who have remitted the subscription for more than ten years are eligible for an amount equivalent to 75% of the 50% of the total amount remitted as a subscription, which is to be repaid within three years would be given as interest-free loan.
- Loan for Self Employment: – Members who have remitted the subscription for at least ten years are eligible to get 75% of the 50% of the contribution made as an interest-free loan for purchasing cycle/two-wheelers or working tools. The amount so availed shall be repaid within three years without any interest.
